Prochem Shockaway 5L (B194-05) Prochem Shockaway 5L (B194-05) is a water-based, anti-static treatment for carpets and fabrics that prevents static electricity build-up and helps resist re-soiling. Product features Primary function: An anti-static treatment for various surfaces where static electricity is an issue, including most wet-cleanable carpets, fabrics, and hard surfaces like plastic and metal. Anti-static action: It leaves a clear, non-sticky coating that conducts electrical charges away from the fiber surface. Re-soiling prevention: The formula is designed to also help prevent carpets from re-soiling. Appearance and odour: It is a clear, colourless liquid with a mild alcohol odour. pH value: The product has a pH of 8 both in its concentrated form and when diluted. Directions for use This product is for professional and industrial use and should be applied to a clean, vacuumed surface. Dilution: Mix 125ml of Shockaway per litre of water, which is a 1:8 ratio. Application: Apply the diluted solution using a low-pressure spray applicator (maximum 30psi / 2 bar). For carpets, the coverage is approximately 5 litres of mixed solution per 50 square metres (450 square metres per 5 litres of concentrate). After spraying on carpets, brush the product into the pile and allow the surface to dry completely before re-use. Precautions: Always pre-test an inconspicuous area for colour fastness. Do not mix this product with other cleaning solutions. Keep people and pets out of the application area until it is completely dry. Wear a suitable dust mask to avoid inhaling spray droplets, which can cause temporary irritation. To further combat static, it is recommended to use Shockaway alongside other measures like increasing humidity or using anti-static mats.
