The same great qualities that have made the Mega-Ray name the best in the industry is also incorporated in this mini UVB bulb. This bulb measuring only 3" wide and 4.5" long needs to be given the same respect when using as the rest of the Mega-Ray professional products. While it has a minimum distance of 6" from the face of the bulb to the top of the animal, the "optimal" distance is between 9-12" and even further for low UVB requirement creatures such as amphibians. Producing only 70 watts of heat they can be used in smaller habitats then the other Mega-Ray UV bulbs. Juvenile turtles, tortoise's and lizards love this bulb! This is also a great Avian and snake UVA-UVB source.
